How Do I Firefox?

Obviously, you can use whatever browser you like to do web development, but Firefox has some helpful plugins for things like this. Here are a few:

Web Developer Toolbar

This is the one I use most for troubleshooting and writing CSS code. It will tell you everything you want to know about the structure of the web page you're looking at. If you get nothing else, get this one.

I use this mostly for looking at javascript and AJAX calls, but it can be used for a lot more than that.

Live HTTP Headers

This one helps you dissect a target site for scraping, it will show API calls, redirects and pretty much everything that the browser doesn't. Firebug can do this also, but if you don't like firebug's NET panel, you can use this instead.

An integrated FTP client. I haven't used this in a while, because I've been doing it with Notepad++ or some other IDE. If you want a FTP client in Firefox, this is good to have but not essential.
